- The commission recommended the City Council approve renaming Blaisdell Avenue between Franklin Avenue West and 22nd Street West to honor Jamal Mitchell, a Minneapolis police officer who was killed on duty in May 2024.
- The commission recommended that the City Council approve an ordinance amendment that would allow for “safe outdoor parking” areas, where people experiencing homelessness can sleep in their cars overnight. The parking areas would be operated by nonprofits, government agencies or religious organizations, which could connect people with resources and services.
- The commission unanimously approved two new residential buildings via the consent agenda:
- A new four-story residential building at 734 and 800 Tyler St NE
- A new seven-story mixed-use building at 1200 and 1204 E Lake Street
